Hello!
Kane has been signed to Escape Records for his new album which should be completed before summer hopefully.
Songs are written and at the moment he is in the studio finishing the album with Paul Simmons on the drums and Kip Winger on bass and vocals.
Kane is still working on the title. Send us your suggestions and maybe Kane will decide to choose your title. We're trying to come up with a nice prize for the winner!

produced by Michael Wagener and is an awesome tune but be advised this is only a
rough mix. You will nonetheless
hear the classic Kane Roberts sound. Kane

Kane Roberts is
back in the studio working on a new album.
He has re-grouped with a lot of folks he has worked with in the past as
well as some new faces to make this album a memorable one.
The current
songwriting team includes one new song with Desmond Child and one new song with
Steve Vai. Kane is also once again
writing with Jim Peterik and Devlin-7 (who wrote the keyboard part on “Rebel
Heart” among other things).
Kane expects the basic tracks to be done by the end of October. He isn’t saying too much else at this point except “I’m taking my time”. One thing is for certain. When Kane finally decides the album is ready, it will be exactly the way he wants it to be. It will certainly be worth the wait!

We would also like any fan write-ups about their experiences meeting Kane or even just a little about you.

Kane Roberts will have two songs featured in the new movie "R o c k s t a r" that is slated to open September 14, 2001 in the U.S.A. The songs are "Reckless", which can be found on Kane's Phoenix Down project CD "Under a Wild Sky" and "Twisted" from his "Saints and Sinners" CD, which was co-written with Desmond Child. The songs are expected to be re-recorded by Mikey Steel (formerly known as Michael Matijevic), lead vocalist for the band Steelheart. Mikey has an incredible voice and it will be interesting to hear his interpretation of these songs. With Kane's songwriting ability (combined with Desmond Child's touch on "Twisted") and Steel's voice, it should be a genuine treat for all who hear it. We'll keep you posted on further news about "Rockstar" as it develops!

Kane
Roberts took second place in the "Who is your favorite artist who worked
with Desmond Child?" poll on the Desmond Child fan site! Bon Jovi
took first place. The other
contenders were Ricky Martin in third and KISS tied with Alice Cooper for
fourth. This only proves what Kane's fans have always known. The
esoteric Mr. Roberts has a strong appeal with the melodic hard rock audiences.
Even though he is a more obscure artist than more prolific bands like KISS, he
continues to be a contender in the eyes of fans of the genre.
Congratulations to Kane on his second place standing!
